9 Super Fast Stevie Ray Vaughan Licks - Guitar Lesson with Tablature
Published on 13 February 2017
This video shows 9 fast shredding blues-style licks. In the first part of the lesson, I show 4 basic licks, that are used as building blocks for the other 5 licks. These are relatively easy to play, and can be applied to a lot of different styles.
All of these licks are based on very fast Stevie Ray Vaughan Licks. All of these are basically played in the common minor pentatonic position, that SRV used so often to play those really fast blues runs.
The idea with these licks is that you can use them as building blocks to make your own long, flowing SRV style runs.
Practice each of these licks SEPARATELY AND SLOWLY. Only when you get the "small" licks down, should you try to put them together to make the really long licks. If you get the small licks down, you will be shocked about how far you can take these. These licks can really take you to that Stevie Ray Vaughan level.
Have fun!
