Ear Training: Learn the Sound of the Flat 7th Interval
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
In this lesson, we'll continue our study of the way different intervals sound in the context of a blues lick.
In previous lessons, we've focused on the Root, Third and Fifth but today is all about the Flat 7th (b7th). In the key of A, the flat 7th is G so our licks will target this flat 7th sound.
Once you begin to venture away from learning songs note-for-note and into the world of writing licks or improvising, lessons like this will become very important. It is critical that you know the tones that your after, and more importantly the sound and emotion of each note so that you can craft the lick to fit the vibe of the song.
