How to Add Vibrato to Your Acoustic Blues http://www.bluesguitarinstitute.com/ lesson63">http://www.bluesguitarinstitute.com/ lesson63 Vibrato is one guitar technique that helps us squeeze a little bit of emotion out of a note. It helps give our playing that vocal quality that is very important to the blues. In this lesson, we'll take a look at a lick that has three different notes with vibrato. In the first run of the lick, I'll show you how I apply vibrato with my index finger by pivoting my hand on the fretboard. Then, I'll show you my ring finger vibrato which requires a slightly different approach. Finally, I will introduce you to the technique I use to apply vibrato to a bent note. This can be tricky since you really need to hold the bend to pitch while applying vibrato. Check out the video for a tip or two that might help you in this area.
