How To Solo Longer In Voodoo Child
Published on 21 January 2016
http://txba.ly/v7Pf - I've always had trouble soloing along with Voodoo Child (slight return) without not so slightly returning to the same thing I played already. Most of the soloing happens over the I chord, and it can get awfully repetitive.
So how did Stevie Ray Vaughan manage to pull off 10 or 12 minute versions of this song, and still sound good? For one, he was more creative than I'll ever be. But there is a practical way to extend your soloing for longer using 4 bar "themed" soloing breaks. That's what I'll teach you in this lesson.
