The cool thing about the blues is you can take the trusted twelve bar blues framework and make it your own. And that's what we're doing in this lesson. There's a little bit more going on in this lesson than just cycling through the chords. You can do that, but every now and then you need a lick like the one we kick this lesson off with to spice things up a bit. Then in the next bar we strum through a D7 chord just to keep us grounded in the rhythm before finishing off with a one-two punch of a classic A turnaround followed by a nice little E bass lick to cap things off.
