Guitar Practice: How to practice guitar scales effectively

Published on 24 November 2019
I give you a guitar practice schedule on practicing scales horizontally and vertically. You`ll be able to move your scales across the fretboard within 8 weeks. Allthough i focus on the major scale you can apply this guitar practice routine to any scale. Moveable Guitar Scales: Guitar Scales can be moved across the fretboard horizontally. Meaning the key is beiing shifted, but the pattern stays the same. Since the distances are usually too far, vertical playing is preferred. We stay where we are, thus the key and the pattern changes. Guitar Practice Schedule: Practice a pattern for a week, moving it horizontally. Change to the next pattern and practice that one for a week. Do this until you`re through all five patterns. Then stay in an area and practice guitar scales vertically. Go through the cycle of fourths, where you have to change the pattern to get into another key. DPractice in each area for 1-2 weeks. This will result into a Guitar practice workout of around 6-8 weeks for a scale. This is an effective guitar scale lesson / guitar scale exercise. This guitar scale method will make you feel free and comfortable across the fretboard. You will be able to find the nearest pattern to a scale wherever you are. There is no better way to practice guitar scales more effectively. ******************************************************************** Please give this video a thumb up, if you like it!
