Independence Day 2014 How To Play Your Own Version Of The Star Spangled Banner
Published on 18 January 2016
Most of us know Jimi Hendrix's version of the Star Spangled Banner and it's a pretty cool arrangement to aspire to... but it's pretty darn tough to nail it even close to exactly for a lot of reasons.
In this video we'll start with a really vanilla arrangement of just the melody, then add some variety through the use of some bends, trills, and some bass notes.
Then after that I'll discuss some elements of the classic Hendrix tone including the fuzz and the UniVibe that you might want to play with.
Enjoy and Happy Independence Day!
