I made my chord melody arrangement in Bb major, since this is the version that I first came across. I really don't know many versions in D natural. Monterey Blues features Wes Montgomery s great octave playing, which I teach you in this lesson, as well as some really nice sounding jazz guitar chords. I put it all together and created a chord melody arrangement. The level is intermediate I would say. The Monterey Blues guitar chords are fairly easy, though. I have two videos up here on Youtube, explaining jazz guitar chords. So maybe you want to look into those as well. I also made the Monterey Blues TABS, respectively D Natural Blues TABS for you to download from one of the link above. I really dig the Monterey Blues guitar chords and I hope so do you. The mixture of octaves and chords is what I like mostly about Wes Montgomery tunes. This is just another great example to do this.
