This means, that the beautiful guitar chords are weaved into (played simultaniously) the melody. So what you get is an instrumental version of this great classic. Since I am from Austria and this song first appeared in the music film The Sound of Music, which is about an Austrian singing family that migrates to the US, I just had to do this song. The My Favorite things guitar chords are very interesting. The song was composed in 1959 and already used the lydian mode. We have beautiful Cmaj7#11 chords in this jazz standard. It is in 3/4 meter and thus has a forward motion to it. I will teach you all the great guitar chords and show you how the melody is being played in between or simultaniously. I'll teach you My Favorite things note for note, slow and easy. I have two full playthroughs. One at fast / regular tempo and the other one at the end of the lesson is in slow tempo. I tried to keep the My Favorite Things chord melody arrangement as easy as possible without making it sound bland. All the guitar chords should be absolutely doable for you, if you already know the basic jazz chords.
