Wes Montgomery jazz guitar lesson | Lick # 5 | Minor bebop scale
Published on 25 July 2018
This jazz guitar lesson is about a nice and easy Wes Montgomery guitar lick using the F minor bebop scale over a Bb7 chord. This scale is built by taking the Dorian Mode and adding in a #7 interval. You can use this scale to solo over a m7 chord or 7 chord as did Wes in "West coast blues" (at 1mn59). F dorian mode is F-G-Ab-Bb-C-D-Eb, to get the dorian bebop scale just add the #7 (E) between D and Eb.Time signature is 3/4.
